Microwave Potato Chips
There is nothing like potato chips for a classic side dish. Now you can make your own in your microwave at home! Bite after bite, each potato chip is perfectly crispy, lightly salted, and non-greasy. I love serving these with my Chicago-Style Hot Dogs.
Prep Time - 15 Minutes
Cook Time - 20 Minutes
2 large Yukon Gold potatoes
3 tablespoons olive oil
Salt to taste
Omnipan – Large
Slice the potatoes thinly. Place the potato slices in a bowl of cold water, stirring to release the starch. Drain, refill the water, and repeat this process until the water runs clear.
Line a baking sheet with paper towels. Place the potato slices on the paper towels and pat dry.
Line the large Omnipan with two layers of paper towels. Arrange the potato slices on the paper towels so that there is space in between each slice. Lightly brush each side with olive oil and sprinkle lightly with salt.
Place the Omnipan in the microwave. Microwave on high for 3 minutes. Flip the slices over and microwave for 2 more minutes, or until the slices are crispy and golden brown in spots.
Transfer the potato chips to your desired serving dish.
Repeat this process with the remaining potato slices.
